Description
In 1988, the Quesnel family purchased a couple of ducks for the kids to learn and have the responsibility of feeding a farm animal. Well the ducks turned into a brood and before you knew it there were about 20 ducks in the need of feeding. The children and neighbors embraced these ducks that summer. They were quite the talk in town to say the least!
My lovely neighbor, Mary Quesnel commissioned me to paint this memory for her from a 3 x 2 inch photo!
The children are her children, and grandma is her husbands mother. Under grandma's tutelage her 4 year old granddaughter and the ducks are friends.
Many thanks to the following groups for featuring Ducks And Dears: Wisconsin Scenery, Just Perfect, Old Masters - Painters & Traditional Arts, Painting The Old Way, Created by My Hands and Water forms.
